MY HOLY CUP OF TEA!

For a lot of us a good start to our mornings, begin with a cup of steaming hot Tea. Many of us are addicted to this holy cup and can not imagine our day without it. We are also particular about the taste, color, aroma and the variety of tea that we desire.

That brings me to an interesting thought of how Tea is originally made. How is such an extensive variation is possible in this generic drink? In the process of satisfying my curiosity, I found out that tea is mainly manufactured using two approaches, Orthodox and CTC (Crush-Tear-Curl).

Orthodox method is a more traditional method of production. The leaves are made to wither. After the water content reduces, these leaves are rolled to break down their cellular structure and begin the oxidation process. It is this process that is responsible for differentiating tea into numerous categories.
CTC method involves lesser labor compared to the orthodox method, thereby increasing the speed and efficiency of the tea manufacture. After the tea leaves are plucked and withered they are passed through a series of cylindrical rollers that crush, tear and roll the tea leaves into tiny pieces that resemble coffee grounds then they are left to oxidize and are finally fired. After the tea is fired, it is sorted into different grades. Tea Grading is done on the basis of Leaf's characteristics and size. The Tea bags we use normally contains CTC Tea.

On the other hand, Green tea is made by pan firing or steaming the leaves as soon as they are harvested. They are then dried immediately to prevent too much oxidation. Oxidization would turn the green leaves brown and alter their fresh-picked flavor. BrewedGreenn Tea is green or yellowish to light brownish in color.

Green Tea when blended with dried herbs and dried flowers produces flavored Teas that we sip with hot water. Market fragmentation in the Tea business is widespread. However, there is one particular brand that makes it to my Cup of Tea every day -Vimy’s Tea.

With intense flavor and soothing aroma, Vimy’s tea comes in varied flavors and numerous health benefits. I choose Vimy’s Ambrosial Tea for my cup of black tea. It is a perfect blend of rich taste and a beautiful texture. For a full bodied tea, I prefer to have it with hot milk.
On days when I want to wrap myself in the laps of mother nature VIMY’s Gourmet Green Tea is my pick.  It's modern yet cosmopolitan flavor has a soothing effect on one's nervous system. I highly recommend it because of its great taste and enormous health benefits.

My afternoon breaks can never be complete without Vimy’s flavored teas such as Basil Tea, Lemongrass Tea, Ginger Tea and Peppermint Tea.Each sip of Vimy’s Tea brings in memories of lush green Tea estates of Darjeeling and Assam. The robust flavor and tranquilizing aroma make Vimy’s tea best in class for Indian Teas.
